In order to develop floating projects in Japan using the SATH (Swinging Around Twin Hull) technology, Saitec Offshore Technologies and Korindo have agreed to establish a Special Purpose Company. The foundation of the corporation is made possible by this agreement.

Two horizontal cylinder-shaped hulls with conical ends that are connected to one another using bar-frame constructions make up the SATH, a floating platform made of prestressed concrete.

The partnership between Saitec and Korindo, according to Ignacio Blanco, executive president of Korindo International, has a significant strategic importance for the advancement of projects involving offshore plants. The development of offshore plant projects will benefit greatly from this collaboration between Saitec and Korindo. “SATH is possible because of the expertise of both companies in this sector of the economy as well as floating technology.”

A Spanish-Japanese joint venture with operations in twelve nations, Korindo International focuses on the creation of alternative energy sources.
